Drug and Alcohol Services
Founded and led by a physician who is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Emergency Medicine, Diablo Valley Drug and Alcohol Services treats addiction like the disease it is.
In too many facilities, individuals receive alcohol and drug addiction help through treatment that follows the status quo model, leaving patients without access to the individualized help they need. At Diablo Valley Drug and Alcohol Services, we do things differently in order to give our clients the best foundation for recovery from active addiction and alcoholism. At Diablo Valley, we believe that addiction is a multifaceted disease that must be approached from a physical and mental health standpoint that also respects our patient’s daily routines and responsibilities. Diablo was founded by a physician who is certified by the American Board of Addiction Medicine and the American Board of Emergency Medicine, so our alcohol and drug addiction help is geared towards an evidence-based model of treatment that truly supports our patients in their journey toward recovery. Our outpatient treatment model allows clients the freedom to recover without having to disconnect from their daily lives.
At Diablo Valley, we offer medical detoxification services with a multi-pronged approach that utilizes addiction treatment medication as well as therapy. We understand that for many clients who struggle with addiction, chronic pain is a real and significant obstacle to recovery. That’s why, in contrast to many facilities, we offer long-term, safe, non-narcotic pain management services for patients alongside alcohol and drug rehab.
Treatment at Diablo Valley is structured as an intensive three-month outpatient drug rehab program that helps patients safely and comfortably detox from alcohol, benzodiazepines, stimulants, and opiates, as well as receive therapeutic services designed to help them maintain long-term recovery and emotional well-being. Because we are an outpatient drug rehab program, our clients are able to live in their homes and continue their daily routines, such as working or attending school, while still receiving access to a full range of treatment services. Services we offer include:
– Physician-directed medical detoxification from substances
– Counseling for individuals, couples, families, and groups (including equine therapy opportunities)
– Addiction-free chronic pain treatment with non-narcotic, effective medication options as well as holistic pain management services
– Aftercare support for long-term recovery
No longer is it necessary for patients to abandon work, school, or their home life to receive effective and comprehensive treatment, and no longer do clients have to sacrifice pain management services in order to receive treatment for addiction or alcoholism. At Diablo Valley, we have structured our program to serve the emotional, physical, and mental needs of our clients in a way that allows them to maintain their vital connections to their home, family life, work, and school commitments. Treatment at Diablo Valley is evidence-based and highly effective, allowing our clients to safely detox and build fulfilling, sober lifestyles through therapy and aftercare services. With the alcohol and drug addiction help of Diablo Valley’s team of doctors and therapists, patients can get the support they need to lead addiction-free and pain-free lives.
